NASA<\/a> has shared incredible footage of its Artemis II rocket and spacecraft being taxied around the Kennedy Space Center \u2013 and it\u2019s amazing to see.<\/p>\n

As you might have guessed, moving supersized rocket ships around is no mean feat.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But this remarkable time-lapse footage recently shared by NASA makes it seem like light work.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the clip, the rocket and spacecraft can be seen making their way around the Kennedy Space Center ahead of the upcoming Artemis II mission.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The NASA rocket will be used to send a team of four out to the Moon and back again <\/p>\n

It\u2019s been more than half a century since humans went to the Moon, but that\u2019s all set to change thanks to the Artemis II mission<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The US space agency is gearing up to send a team of four astronauts on a 10-day trip, which you\u2019ll be able to track in real time<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The team, made up of three NASA astronauts: Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, as well as Jeremy Hansen of the Canadian Space Agency, won\u2019t be landing on the Moon during the mission, but they will be going around it and back again<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re going at least 5,000 nautical miles, that\u2019s around 5753 regular miles, past the Moon, which is much higher than previous missions have gone,\u201d Artemis II flight director, Jeff Radigan, said back in September.\u00a0<\/p>\n

NASA has said the Artemis II mission will take place before the end of next month.<\/p>\n

With the blast-off date coming up soon, last month, NASA sent the Artemis II rocket and spacecraft to the Vehicle Assembly Building at the Kennedy Space Center on top of a crawler-transporter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sharing a cool time-lapse video of its journey on Instagram, NASA explained that its team would \u2018conduct work and repairs on the Artemis II vehicle before returning it to Launch Pad 39B\u2019 before its upcoming launch.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The clip shows the spacecraft being carried around to where it needs to be, with a truck in front of it spraying water along the route. <\/p>\n

In a comment on the original video, NASA explained that the water \u2018helps soften the impact on the path as the heavy-weight crawler moves along its specialized roadway\u2019. <\/p>\n

Artemis II is set to blast off sooner than you might think<\/p>\n

NASA has previously pledged that the Artemis II mission would get underway before the end of April.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Last month, the space agency was hopeful that it could launch ahead of schedule in March, but a helium leak was found, and the date was pushed back.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, with that original deadline creeping ever closer, NASA has announced a tentative launch date<\/a> of April 1, at 6:24pm ET.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Planning a major launch like this isn\u2019t an easy task.<\/p>\n

As well as making sure there are absolutely no technical issues, the launch can only happen when the Moon is in the right part of its orbit, which is for a few days at the beginning of April and then not again until the very end.<\/p>\n

Should the April 1 launch not go ahead, this means the only other available dates in April are 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 30, according to the BBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n
