The hottest stars turned out for the MTV VMAs 2025 red carpet, but who looked hot, and who was a flop? Over the years, the VMAs produce some of the most talked-about red carpet looks of all time. Who could ever forget Lady Gaga\u2019s meat dress? Naturally, there was plenty to discuss with this year\u2019s red carpet. Like Yungblood\u2019s dangerously low leather pants<\/a>. But which stars were the best and worst dressed? Read on to see our picks below.<\/p>\n

MTV VMAs 2025: Best Dressed\"Summer<\/p>\n

The VMAs red carpet has a reputation for iconic looks. So, the stars attending the MTV VMAs 2025 had a lot to live up to. Some showed up in looks that paid tribute to iconic outfits of years past. For instance, Summer Walker showed up in the exact same outfit Pamela Anderson wore to the 1999 show. She looked amazing and made the ensemble her own. Others showed up in looks determined to create their own iconic moments<\/a>. Here are our picks for the night\u2019s best dressed.<\/p>\n

Bama Barbie does it again! Ever since she left the villa, Love Island USA <\/a>Season 7 breakout star Olandria Carthen<\/a> has been on a major fashion run. From a short shorts suit at the US Open to a golden goddess gown at the LI USA reunion, Olandria is making a name for herself as fashionista to watch. And the MTV VMAs 2025 red carpet was no exception. This super hot red ensemble is giving modern day Jessica Rabbit. I can only imagine Nic\u2019s reaction<\/a> when he saw her.<\/p>\n

The MTV VMAs 2025 red carpet is the time to have fun with fashion. And Doja Cat<\/a> always does just that. This Balmain dress is already cute in a campy way. And Doja ramped that camp up with the styling. With the big hair and the exaggerated fun accessories, the star nailed a fun eighties vibes. It looks like she\u2019s paying a sexy tribute to the classic film Working Girl. Adding to the fun and camp, Doja applied lipstick on the red carpet \u2026 and then ate the tube. The thing about Doja Cat, you can never predict what she\u2019ll do next<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Sabrina Carpenter<\/a> is one of the most-talked about pop stars<\/a> right now. Especially considering the mild controversy around her newest album Man\u2019s Best Friend. With her cheeky lyrics, risky moves, and glamorous pin-up looks, Sabrina is the modern Madonna. So it\u2019s no wonder she showed up to the VMAs in a very Madonna inspired look<\/a>. It\u2019s glamorous and sexy without showing skin. And the feather boa is such a fun touch.<\/p>\n

There was a lot of vintage on the MTV VMAs 2025 red carpet, which I personally always love to see. Stars like Ice Spice and Latto went back into the archives for their red carpet looks. But of all the vintage outfits on this red carpet, Tyla\u2019s Chanel ensemble<\/a> is the one I personally love the most. This top was paired with a longer skirt when it was first on the runway. But the singer paired it with extra short shorts for a sexier vibe<\/a>. The accessories are also amazing and quintessentially Chanel. Also, you can tell in every picture that Tyla absolutely loves the way she looks.<\/p>\n

Ariana Grande\"Ariana<\/p>\n

Looks like Ariana Grande <\/a>is gearing up for Wicked: For Good press! This polka dot dress is right in line with the Glinda inspired outfits the pop star turned movie star has worn since going blonde. For her MTV VMAs 2025 look, Ariana worked with famed stylist and Project Runway<\/a> judge Law Roach<\/a>. If I have a quibble, it\u2019s that this Audrey Hepburn-esque dress is probably better suited to an event like the Golden Globes. But it\u2019s hard to be mad at a dress this pretty and elegant.<\/p>\n

MTV VMAs 2025: Worst Dressed\"Frankie<\/p>\n

The VMAs are the time to take major risks<\/a>. And to dress as campy, tacky, and bold as your heart desires. Again, think of Lady Gaga\u2019s meat dress. If anything, the greatest fashion faux pas of the VMAs is to show up in something boring. But still, some of the MTV VMAs 2025 attendees took risks that didn\u2019t totally pay off. Here are our picks for the worst dressed of the night.<\/p>\n

Frankie Grande\"Frankie<\/p>\n

Again, I love a fashion risk, and the MTV VMAs 2025 red carpet is the time to take one. I\u2019m also always glad when someone shows up in a suit that is bold and bright instead of plain black. But this Frankie Grande<\/a> ensemble is just too much<\/a>. I\u2019m sorry to say it, but the highlighter yellow tiger stripe suit actually hurts my eyes to look at.<\/p>\n

Chance the Rapper\"Chance<\/p>\n

Thanks to the backpack, Chance the Rapper looks like a kid who was on his way to school and somehow accidentally ended up on the MTV VMAs 2025 red carpet. Maybe that\u2019s exactly what he was going for, but it\u2019s an odd outfit choice nonetheless. Above all, it\u2019s just boring. This is the kind of outfit you\u2019d wear casually every day. That\u2019s not the vibe artists should go for with their outfits on the VMAs red carpet.<\/p>\n

Rebecca Black\"Rebecca<\/p>\n

I vividly remember when Rebecca Black\u2019s song Friday went viral. And before getting into this outfit, I have to give her props for turning a potentially embarrassing 15 minutes of fame into a lasting career. That being said, this might be the worst outfit of the entire night. there\u2019s just way too much going on, and it looks like a mess. I have no idea why this top was paired with a skirt that looks like a lace tablecloth. And I was so distracted by the top and the skirt, it took me a minute to notice the fur cavewoman inspired shoes. I\u2019ll say this, it\u2019s certainly not a MTV VMAs 2025 red carpet look<\/a> I\u2019m going to forget.<\/p>\n
