Naval Ravikant, a well-known venture capitalist and influencer, once stated that when he looks back on his life, he has only one piece of advice for his younger self \u2014 relax and don\u2019t stress.<\/p>\n
No Point Living Up To People\u2019s Expectations<\/p>\n
Appearing on the Tim Ferriss show on Oct. 29, 2015. Ravikant, then 40 years old,\u00a0revealed he actually spent some time thinking about what he would tell his 30-year-old self.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe advice was along the lines of chill out, don\u2019t stress so much, not so much anxiety and everything will be fine,\u201d he said. \u201cDon\u2019t try and live up to other people\u2019s expectations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ravikant stressed the importance of saying \u201cno\u201d to things, protecting time and realizing one\u2019s full potential.<\/p>\n
Ravikant then pondered what his 30-year-old self would tell his 20-year-old self, and what his 20-year-old self would say to his 10-year-old self.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt turned out to be pretty much the same thing,\u201d he said. In fact, Naval was confident that his 50-year-old self would say the same thing.<\/p>\n
At 51 today, you\u2019d think Naval Ravikant\u2019s answer to this clich\u00e9d question wouldn\u2019t change much if asked again.<\/p>\n
