The Meta-owned app will be available for select Garmin Fenix, Forerunner, Venus and V\u00edvoactive smartwatches. This integration makes WhatsApp the only third-party messaging app available on Garmin smartwatches.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"u-speakableText-p2\">Garmin is one of CNET&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/health\/fitness\/best-fitness-tracker\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"c-shortcodeLink c-shortcodeLink-active\" target=\"_blank\">leading makers of fitness trackers<\/a> among runners and for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/health\/sleep\/best-sleep-tracker\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"c-shortcodeLink c-shortcodeLink-active\" target=\"_blank\">sleep tracking<\/a>. CNET recently tested a group of smartwatches to see which is the most accurate, and the Garmin Venu 4 earned the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/tech\/mobile\/i-ran-30-miles-testing-5-smartwatches-to-find-out-which-ones-you-can-actually-trust\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"c-shortcodeLink c-shortcodeLink-active\" target=\"_blank\">top honor for elite-level heart rate tracking<\/a>\u00a0on Android phones.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;By bringing a global messaging brand like WhatsApp to select Garmin smartwatches, we&#8217;re giving customers another meaningful way to stay connected &#8212; whether they&#8217;re training, exploring or simply on the move,&#8221; Susan Lyman, Garmin&#8217;s vice president of consumer sales and marketing,\u00a0<a rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-id=\"146dccc0-391f-430d-9a67-742d025f0ecb\" href=\"https:\/\/www.garmin.com\/en-US\/newsroom\/press-release\/wearables-health\/garmin-customers-can-stay-connected-with-whatsapp-on-their-smartwatch\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"(opens in a new window)\" class=\"c-regularLink\">said in a statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Garmin smartwatch users will be able to read and respond to messages with the built-in keyboard on their watch screens, view incoming calls and decline them, and view their chat history up to 10 messages.<\/p>\n<p>The Kansas-based company uses end-to-end encryption to protect messages shared through the device.<\/p>\n<p>Correction, March 23: This story originally misrepresented Garmin&#8217;s WhatsApp features.
