An FBI drama<\/a> hailed as “compelling” and “mysterious” is now streaming on Channel 4 in the UK. The Blacklist, which began in 2013, starred Hollywood icon James Spader as notorious criminal Raymond Reddington<\/a>, who is on the FBI’s most wanted list.<\/p>\n

He agrees to cooperate with law enforcement and help them catch other criminals on the one condition that he gets to work with new agent Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The cast also included the likes of Diego Klattenhoff, Ryan Eggold, Amir Arison, Hisham Tawfiq, and Harry Lennix.<\/p>\n

After running for 10 seasons and winning several awards, including a Primetime Emmy, The Blacklist ended in 2023<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The series spawned a spin-off<\/a>, The Blacklist: Redemption, as well as novels, a comic series, and a video game.<\/p>\n

The first eight seasons of the show are streaming now on Channel 4. To watch seasons 9 and 10, you can go to NOW TV or Sky.<\/p>\n

The Blacklist currently holds a 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>, with the sixth season of the show achieving a rare perfect score.<\/p>\n

In its review, The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> said: “Blacklist came out like gangbusters, quite literally, even though James Spader is really all the reason we need to keep watching for now.<\/p>\n

Slate<\/a> wrote: “The Blacklist is both utterly shameless and, in its way, genuinely (if cynically) sophisticated.”<\/p>\n

TV Fanatic<\/a> said The Blacklist was “mysterious and compelling”, while TV Guide<\/a> described the show as “criminally enjoyable.”<\/p>\n

Many compared the show to Hannibal, with Buffalo News<\/a> writing: “It has been likened to Silence of the Lambs and NBC’s lowly-rated Hannibal. The difference between Blacklist and Hannibal is that Spader makes this series more commercial and likely to succeed.<\/p>\n

Entertainment Weekly<\/a> simply put it: “Here and now, The Blacklist is top-of-the-list escapism.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Time Out Chicago<\/a> said: “The Blacklist makes for a fairly cheesy thriller, but in the end, a joyful one.”<\/p>\n

The Blacklist seasons 1-8 are streaming now on Channel 4.<\/p>\n
