{"id":355790,"date":"2026-03-24T16:11:08","date_gmt":"2026-03-24T16:11:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/355790\/"},"modified":"2026-03-24T16:11:08","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T16:11:08","slug":"one-last-kill-special-sets-release-date-after-daredevil-end","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/355790\/","title":{"rendered":"One Last Kill Special Sets Release Date After Daredevil End"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAfter returning in \u201cDaredevil: Born Again\u201d Season 1, <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/jon-bernthal\/\" id=\"auto-tag_jon-bernthal\" data-tag=\"jon-bernthal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jon Bernthal<\/a> is back for his Marvel Special Presentation, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/punisher\/\" id=\"auto-tag_punisher\" data-tag=\"punisher\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Punisher<\/a>: One Last Kill,\u201d set to release May 12 \u2014 one week after the \u201cDaredevil: Born Again\u201d Season 2 finale on May 5.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe eight-episode Season 2 of \u201cBorn Again\u201d premieres Tuesday, with weekly episodes except for Episodes 2 and 3, which both premiere on March 31.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tBernthal originally starred as Frank Castle in Season 2 of Netflix\u2019s \u201cDaredevil\u201d series in 2016. He faced off against Charlie Cox\u2019s blind vigilante, and later teamed up with him. Castle, a military veteran driven to vengeance after the massacre of his family, proved to be popular enough to headline his own \u201cPunisher\u201d spinoff show that ran for two seasons from 2017 until 2019. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tNetflix\u2019s street level heroes, including Bernthal\u2019s Punisher, Cox\u2019s Daredevil and Krysten Ritter\u2019s Jessica Jones, slowly made their way back into the MCU. After his Netflix show ended, Cox reprised his role as lawyer Matt Murdock in \u201cSpider-Man: No Way Home,\u201d then \u201cShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law\u201d and \u201cEcho.\u201d In 2025, he starred in the revival series \u201cDaredevil: Born Again\u201d on Disney+, which was the first M-rated Marvel series. Bernthal also appeared on the show, reuniting with Cox and teaming up with him against corrupt New York City mayor Wilson Fisk (Vincent D\u2019Onofrio), aka the Kingpin. After the success of \u201cDaredevil: Born Again,\u201d which is renewed through Season 3, it was revealed Bernthal would star in his own Punisher MCU special.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tBut that\u2019s not all for Bernthal\u2019s character: He\u2019ll also appear in \u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day\u201d with Tom Holland.
