If advances hold, this will \u2060be the second consecutive session of gains.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Fifteen of the 16 major sectors logged gains \u200bat the \u200bopen. The broader \u200bsmall-caps and mid-caps \u200cadded 1.1% and 1%, respectively.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">Asian equities rose 1.4%, while oil slipped below $100 per barrel on expectations that any move toward a ceasefire could ease supply disruptions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1fy9kyt\">U.S. President Donald \u200cTrump said on Tuesday \u200bthat Washington was making \u200bprogress toward negotiating \u200ban end to the war, \u200cand a source confirmed \u200bthe delivery \u200bof the settlement proposal to Tehran, Reuters reported.
