\"J <\/a>J Cole (R) has revealed how he reacted after he received a lawsuit from Cam\u2019ron (L)<\/p>\n

It appears Cam\u2019ron and J Cole have settled their differences over the legal issue stemming from the Ready \u201824 track that they collaborated on.<\/p>\n

As previously reported by Face2Face Africa, Cam\u2019ron, 50, filed a lawsuit against Cole, 41, on allegations that the latter did not stick to his end of the bargain after they recorded their Ready \u201924 track.<\/p>\n

The two rappers recently discussed the topic when J. Cole appeared on Cam\u2019ron\u2019s Talk with Flee podcast, Complex reported. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you first saw the lawsuit, what was your emotion?\u201d Cam\u2019ron asked Cole. <\/p>\n

\u201cI was hurt, almost disappointed,\u201d J. Cole responded. \u201cBecause I got so much respect for you, and I look at you like, I know you are a stand-up person. When the lawsuit came out, I\u2019m like, \u2018Come on, Cam.\u2019 And only because in my mind I\u2019m like, \u2018Bro, you really could have hit me.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Per Billboard, the Ready \u201824 song was recorded in June 2022, and it ultimately made the cut for Cole\u2019s 2024 Might Delete Later mixtape.<\/p>\n

In court documents obtained by the news outlet, Cam\u2019ron claimed that he and Cole struck a barter deal for his featured verse on the song. Cam\u2019ron claimed that Cole agreed to return the favour by either collaborating with him on another song or appearing on his sports talk show, It Is What It Is.<\/p>\n

Cam\u2019ron, in the suit, further claimed that in September 2022, he asked Cole to collaborate with him on two pre-recorded songs. But Cole allegedly said that it would be better if they worked on an entirely new song. Cam\u2019ron claimed that their initially planned collaboration did not see the light of day. <\/p>\n

Though Cole acknowledged on the podcast that he delayed in responding to Cam\u2019ron, he felt it would have been better if they either discussed the matter or argued about it. <\/p>\n

\u201cI would prefer that than the other way, because I was just like, \u2018Damn, Cam,\u2019\u201d Cole said. \u201cIt never got to that point where you couldn\u2019t holler at me or whatever, right, so my first thing was disappointment, and my first thought was like, \u2018F*ck it. This n***a ain\u2019t even know I was still gonna come to his show.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Cole also said that though he felt his previous reaction was fuelled by his ego, he later accepted that Cam\u2019ron had a point. <\/p>\n

\u201cLet me put myself in his shoes like, \u2018Yo the n***a feel like he was getting a runaround,\u2019\u201d Cole said. \u201cCam is probably like, \u2018I\u2019ve seen this movie before. You don\u2019t fuck with me, you don\u2019t want to do the favor, you trying to drag me out until I don\u2019t want to do it no more. Alright, n***a, bet.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Cole also said that after his emotions softened, he told himself that he\u2019ll hop on one of Cam\u2019ron\u2019s podcasts, Complex reported. <\/p>\n
