It\u2019s currently unclear how many staffers will be affected by the move or how much of the company Sony will absorb.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tPixomondo will officially close only after the completion of any outstanding projects or contracts. News of Pixomondo\u2019s closure was first reported on by Televisual. The trade paper also reported that Pixomondo\u2019s virtual production division, Clara, will be wound down, with some of its functions potentially being swept up by Sony.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tPixomondo is an Oscar- and BAFTA-winning VFX studio. The company had studios in London, Los Angeles, Toronto and Vancouver. The company\u2019s credits include Martin Scorsese\u2019s Hugo, HBO\u2019s Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, and John Wick 4.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSony acquired 100% of Pixomondo from Mayfair Equity Partners in October 2022. The company\u2019s CEO, Jonny Slow, stayed in post after the acquisition.
