The Del Rio Police Department responded just after midnight Monday to a home near Laughlin Air Force Base\u00a0and found a rattlesnake in a bedroom, according to a social media post from the department<\/a>. The rattler is seen curled up under the bed in a photo taken by authorities.<\/p>\n Police evacuated the residents and called Del Rio Animal Services, which\u00a0removed the snake from the house without incident.<\/p>\n The department warned residents that March and April are peak\u00a0season for snake sightings as they emerge from\u00a0hibernation and search for shelter or food.<\/p>\n Rattlesnakes are the most common venomous snake in Texas, with 10 species that call the state home, according to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
