Jonathan and Drew Scott <\/a>debuted their latest HGTV<\/a> series, Property Brothers<\/a>: Under Pressure, on March 15.<\/p>\n

In a joint March 2026 interview with Extra TV<\/a>, Drew and Jonathan shared that the show features affordable housing solutions.<\/p>\n

“We’re in a housing crisis. A lot of people across America, they can’t afford to live where they work. We didn’t take on massive budgets this season. We took smaller budgets for people who truly needed the help because they didn’t see any way to get what they needed,” explained Drew during the Extra TV interview.<\/p>\n

He also explained that while “every episode is a different story,” each one is “very heartwarming,” including an episode wherein the Scott brothers helped a couple who faced hardship because of the Los Angeles fires in January 2025.<\/p>\n

Jonathan noted that his fianc\u00e9e, singer and actressZooey Deschanel<\/a>, also experienced loss during the L.A. fires.<\/p>\n

“Zooey’s family’s home of 42 years burned in the fires and her parents lost every memory they had, every single thing,” said Jonathan in the interview. “They literally didn’t even have clothes when they left the house. And so it was really hard for us and emotional.”<\/p>\n

He also shared that he is “rebuilding” his future in-laws, Mary Jo and Caleb Deschanel’s beloved home.<\/p>\n

“I’m excited, you know, and they’re fortunate, they have a builder in the family,” said Jonathan, who has been in a relationship with Deschanel since 2019.<\/p>\n

Zooey Deschanel Revealed the News About Her Family Home in a January 2025 Instagram Upload<\/p>\n

Deschanel let her fans know that her parents’ home was lost to the L.A. fires in a January 2025 Instagram upload<\/a>. The post featured several photos of the Palisades property.<\/p>\n

In the caption of the post, Deschanel described her “childhood home” as “a marvel of 1920s Spanish revival architecture.”<\/p>\n

“Full of too many incredible memories to count, it was one of the oldest homes in the Palisades and so spectacularly beautiful. It was not a mansion but it was cozy and lovely and unique and perfect to me,” said Deschanel in the caption.<\/p>\n

She also shared that her family, which includes her sister<\/a>, fellow actress Emily Deschanel<\/a>, viewed the home as “a sanctuary where [they] felt most safe.”<\/p>\n

“The Christmas dinners, Easter<\/a> egg hunts, trick or treating, weddings, birthdays, baby showers<\/a>\u2026 we celebrated the best moments of our lives there. The family photos that lined the hallways, the artwork, the piano I learned to play on, the wedding china, the furniture my great great grandfather<\/a> built\u2026 the reminders of generations<\/a> past: All have vanished into thin air,” continued Deschanel.<\/p>\n
