James Cameron can really do it all. Write and direct billion-dollar movies<\/a>? Check. Invent whole new franchises in his sleep?<\/a> Check. Dive deeper in the ocean<\/a> than anyone should ever go? You betcha. Imagine worlds so vast<\/a> that you literally have to invent technology to create them? Yes, that too.<\/p>\n

All that said, when you learn that not only did Cameron co-write, direct, produce, and edit Avatar: Fire and Ash, but he also operated the camera sometimes as well, it isn\u2019t all that surprising. But it\u2019s still incredibly fun to watch.<\/p>\n

Below, io9 has an exclusive clip from the upcoming home release of the third Avatar, Fire and Ash, which is coming to digital on March 31, ahead of a release on all physical media formats on May 19. In it, you\u2019ll see Cameron take control of his set in ways most directors would never dare. But most directors aren\u2019t James Cameron.<\/p>\n

That clip is just one of many, many that\u2019ll be available when Fire and Ash comes home starting next week. Here\u2019s the full rundown of special features.<\/p>\n

Igniting the Flame: The Making of Avatar: Fire and Ash \u2014 A series of featurettes that explores the filmmakers\u2019 journey making Avatar: Fire and Ash with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and insights about the process from the creative talents who shaped the film:<\/p>\n

Writing the Sequels: In 2013, James Cameron gathered a team of top screenwriters to craft a vision for the Avatar sequels.
