If there is one thing an emu is good at, it\u2019s bringing chaos wherever it goes! Thanks to their awkward build, they can be clumsy and uncoordinated<\/a>, so nothing ever seems to go smoothly when they\u2019re around. One farmer recently shared a video of his emus, Peter and Louis, on @houlehomestead\u2019s TikTok page, and honestly, you\u2019ll want to watch it a few times to fully appreciate the birds\u2019 attempt at being helpful.<\/p>\n

As the video begins, the two emus immediately catch viewers\u2019 attention. Dad is headed for the barn stall where the roosters live because, according to the caption, \u201cIt\u2019s time to sell the roosters!\u201d<\/p>\n

When he gets closer, Louis appears to square up as if he\u2019s getting ready for a fight, but Dad gives him the \u201cnot now, Louis\u201d look and keeps going. Peter, on the other hand, takes off running in the opposite direction. He takes a moment or two to regroup, assess the situation, and realize he can, in fact, be helpful.<\/p>\n

Dad\u2019s initial attempt at rounding up the rooster doesn\u2019t go well. Despite his strong effort, the rooster gets the jump on him, but Peter comes in clutch. The energetic emu comes charging in from the backfield to help with the great rooster roundup! He quickly chases the little escape artist<\/a> back into the stall, giving Dad the second chance he needs to catch him.<\/p>\n

Honestly, a video with this level of chaotic energy is bound to produce some high-quality humor, and the comment section\u2014particularly on Facebook<\/a>\u2014did not disappoint!<\/p>\n

One viewer joked, \u201cHere I\u2019m trying to convince my husband to let me have another herding dog<\/a>. You use an emu, dammit. Now I have to up my game!\u201d The farmer quipped back, saying, \u201cIt\u2019s a designer breed. Very rare! LOL!\u201d<\/p>\n

Another follower asked, \u201cWait… is there an unspoken hatred between emu and chickens?!?! Is this Jurassic drama still playing out today?\u201d and Dad replied, \u201cIt plays out every day here on the Houle Homestead!\u201d<\/p>\n
