Meghan Markle<\/a> and Prince Harry<\/a> will “crash and burn” unless King Charles<\/a> acts now, a royal expert has said.<\/p>\n The Duke and Duchess of Sussex should be given the “half-in, half-out” royal roles Harry previously suggested, according to Tina Brown, the former editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair. She believes Harry and Meghan need the posts urgently because existing revenue streams, such as their Netflix<\/a> deal, are “starting to dry up”.<\/p>\n Ms Brown wrote: “The Sussexes\u2019 revenue streams are starting to dry up. Before the Sussexes crash and burn, the House of Windsor needs to put aside schadenfreude and grip the problem. The star had a successful acting career with credits in legal drama Suits and sci-fi show Fringe among other programmes and films.<\/p>\n But now clamour has grown for Meghan to instead join Harry with royal engagements again. They quit royal duties for their life in California in 2020 but, with The Firm facing scrutiny recently over Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson’s links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>, pressure remains for the monarch to make wholesale changes.<\/p>\n One of these could be to use his son and Meghan in what has been described as “half-in, half-out” roles. It is understood Harry and Charles spoke about these designs as far back as September last year<\/a>. He is the spare, he isn’t going to be King, so why couldn\u2019t they have worked out some sort of compromise?<\/p>\n “He\u2019s a natural with the crowds: funny, informal, charming. This week (when Harry had returned to London for the visit) has shown what a great loss he is.
