The actress donned the look for a scene in her upcoming movie Bad Day. <\/p>\n

Diaz stars in the upcoming Netflix comedy opposite Danielle Brooks and Ed O’Neill.<\/p>\n

Cameron Diaz<\/a> has embraced a number of controversial trends in her latest appearance in New York City. The actress stepped out while filming Bad Day wearing long baggy jorts, striped socks, a vintage-inspired track jacket, a camo puffer vest, and red bucket hat<\/a>. If nothing else, the layered ensemble represented a bold alternative to minimalism.<\/p>\n

Per The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, Bad Day is about “a single mom fighting to keep one little promise to her daughter on the absolute worst day of her life.” The film is a comedic nod to the ’90s classic Falling Down, which starred Michael Douglas<\/a> as a dad trying (and failing) to get to his daughter’s birthday party.<\/p>\n

Diaz signed on for Bad Day following her triumphant return to the silver screen (or shall we say, the streaming screen) earlier this year with Netflix’s Back in Action<\/a>. The latter movie co-starred Diaz and Jamie Foxx<\/a> as former CIA operatives who are pulled back into espionage when their secret cover is blown.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s like riding a bike, you know what I mean?\u201d Diaz said<\/a> of her return to acting after a decade-long hiatus. \u201cWhen you go back to something that you\u2019ve done, there\u2019s so much of it that you don\u2019t have to think about. I was like, \u2018Oh man, I just know how to hit my mark. I know what questions to ask the cameraman.\u2019 The set was second nature to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for working with Foxx? The collaboration was effectively what sealed the deal for the In Her Shoes star, who had previously worked with the actor on both Annie and Any Given Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI knew what I was going to get from Jamie as a partner, as a professional, as a talent,\u201d she said. \u201cI just was like, \u2018Yeah, this makes sense.\u2019 If I\u2019m going to do it, Jamie\u2019s the guy.\u201d<\/p>\n
