Neither Washington nor Tehran have yet commented.<\/p>\n Earlier, Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Iranian forces were \u201cwaiting\u201d for US ground troops to arrive so they could \u201crain fire upon them\u201d. It came after reports that the Pentagon is preparing for weeks of possible \u201cground operations\u201d in Iran, and as thousands of US soldiers and marines arrive in the region.<\/p>\n Power has reportedly been restored across parts of Iran after Israeli strikes hit \u201celectricity infrastructure\u201d, Iran\u2019s energy minister said.<\/p>\n The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed that Iran\u2019s heavy-water production plant at Khondab \u2013 which Israel attacked<\/a> on 27 March \u2013 had \u201csustained severe damage and is no longer operational\u201d. In a post on X, the agency added that the Khondab heavy water research reactor \u201ccontains no declared nuclear material\u201d. The Israeli military had described the site as a \u201ckey plutonium production site for nuclear weapons\u201d when it bombed the facility on Friday.<\/p>\n A fire at an industrial site in southern Israel has been been brought under control, hours after being declared a \u201chazardous materials incident\u201d in the area.
