The Only Way Is Essex star Jordan Brook has revealed he’s been hospitalised<\/a> amid a battle with<\/a> viral meningitis and encephalitis.<\/p>\n

Brook, 31, who is dating Geordie Shore<\/a> star Sophie Kasaei, 36, shared an update<\/a> with his fans on the weekend saying he feels like he’s “reached a plateau in hospital” and is “really fighting a mental battle at the moment”.<\/p>\n

Viral meningitis often causes inflammation or swelling of the brain and spinal cord linings, while encephalitis is inflammation of the brain.<\/p>\n

“Hospital update. Sadly after turning a bit of a corner on Friday I feel I have reached a plateau in hospital,” Brook wrote in his post.<\/p>\n

“Canulas are failing to stick I have had over 30 fitted. My body feels battered and bruised and is struggling to accept my anti-viral medication. I am tired, exhausted and feel like I have gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson,” he said.<\/p>\n

He thanked fans for support and admitted he’s struggling mentally at the moment.\ufeff<\/p>\n

“Still suffering with pressure on the frontal lobes of my brain. Really fighting a mental battle at the moment,” he wrote.<\/p>\n

In a previous post, sharing a video from his hospital bed, Brook\ufeff admitted: “Life can throw curveballs when you least expect it.”<\/p>\n

“This isn’t minor. Scans, treatment, and still a long road ahead,” he said.<\/p>\n

Brook and Kasaei are believed to have started dating in November 2022 and are expecting their first child together.<\/p>\n
