Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will reportedly not be in attendance at the royal family\u2019s upcoming Easter church service, and there may be a specific reason why.<\/p>\n

According to a Tuesday, March 31, report in journalist Rob Shuter\u2019s Naughty But Nice Substack<\/a>, Prince William is \u201ctightening the circle,\u201d a royal source claimed. \u201cAnd this is what that looks like.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis wasn\u2019t optional,\u201d the source added. \u201cIt was decided for them<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reports<\/a> that Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 36, won\u2019t be at the royal family Easter outing come amid their father Andrew Mountbatten Windsor\u2019s fall from grace due to his longtime connection to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n

Though the former Prince Andrew has consistently denied wrongdoing and maintained his innocence regarding his ties to Epstein, he was accused of sharing confidential information with the financier related to his role as a trade envoy. The ex Duke of York was arrested last month on his 66th birthday.<\/p>\n

Following the news that Beatrice and Eugenie won\u2019t be seen with King Charles III and company this upcoming Sunday, a source told Shuter that the Prince of Wales, 43, is \u201cthinking about the future<\/a>, not feelings.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s about protecting the brand,\u201d the insider added. \u201cThere\u2019s history there the palace can\u2019t ignore. Even if no one wants to say it out loud.\u201d<\/p>\n

And while it\u2019s believed that Beatrice and Eugenie will eventually be back in the royal fold<\/a>, a source told Shuter, \u201cThese things don\u2019t just happen once. Once you\u2019re out, it\u2019s easier to stay out.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCharles may still be king,\u201d the source said, \u201cbut William is making the decisions that matter. This wasn\u2019t about Easter. It was about control<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following Andrew\u2019s arrest, the 77-year-old king \u2014 who previously stripped his brother of his royal titles and honors late last year \u2014 said via a statement issued from Buckingham Palace that authorities have the royal family\u2019s \u201cfull and wholehearted support and co-operation\u201d throughout an investigation.<\/p>\n

In recent months, Andrew vacated Royal Lodge and moved to Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. His ex-wife, Sarah \u201cFergie\u201d Ferguson, was also forced out of Royal Lodge, but her current whereabouts are unknown<\/a> as she weighs her options for the future.<\/p>\n
