\n\tBurns & Co. Entertainment will partner with Fathom Entertainment for the U.S. theatrical distribution of \u201cJimmy<\/a>,\u201d an upcoming film about Oscar-winning screen legend Jimmy Stewart<\/a>. The movie will open nationwide with\u202fa traditional theatrical release beginning on Nov. 6.<\/p>\n

\n\tKJ Apa<\/a> of \u201cRiverdale\u201d fame stars as Stewart in this look at one of the most pivotal times in the actor\u2019s life, a period that saw him go from winning the Academy Award for \u201cThe Philadelphia Story\u201d to serving as a combat pilot and commander in World War II. Stewart flew 20 missions over Europe, rising to the rank of colonel, only to return emotionally exhausted. That\u2019s when the role of George Bailey in \u201cIt\u2019s a Wonderful Life\u201d arrived. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe all-star cast includes Kara Killmer (\u201cChicago Fire\u201d) as Lady Julia; Neal McDonough (\u201cJustified\u201d) as Stewart\u2019s father, Alexander; Max Casella (\u201cTulsa King\u201d) as Frank Capra; Jason Alexander (\u201cSeinfeld\u201d) as Louis B. Mayer; Christopher McDonald (\u201cHappy Gilmore\u201d) as Lionel Barrymore; Sarah Drew (\u201cGrey\u2019s Anatomy\u201d) as Hedda Hopper; Rob Riggle (\u201cStep Brothers\u201d) as Colonel Terrill; Julian Works (\u201c9-1-1:Lone Star\u201d) as Second Lieutenant Martinez; Jemma Donovan (\u201cNeighbours\u201d) as Ginger Rogers; and Jen Lilley (\u201cDays of Our Lives\u201d) as Gloria Stewart. Aaron Burns (\u201cBeyond The Mask\u201d) directed the movie from a script by Justin Strawhand (\u201cThe Mythmakers\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\tFathom also announced that it will bring back \u201cIt\u2019s a Wonderful Life\u201d to theaters beginning on Dec. 18 for its 80th anniversary.<\/p>\n

\n\tNutt will host Apa and debut \u201cJimmy\u201d footage to attendees of CinemaCon, the annual movie theater industry convention being held in April, during his prepared remarks at the filmmakers luncheon program on April 16.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Burns & Co.
