Between October and December 2025, guests spent 172.3 million nights <\/a>in short-term rental accommodation<\/a> in the EU<\/a>, booked through Airbnb, Booking or Expedia. The total number of guest nights in the last quarter of 2025 increased by 10.9% compared with the same quarter of 2024, and by 30.2% compared with the last quarter of 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Looking at the whole of 2025, guests spent a total of 951.6 million nights in short-stay accommodations booked online, indicating a 11.4% increase compared with 2024 and a 32.4% jump from 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The most popular regions for short-term rental accommodation booked via online platforms in the third quarter of 2025 were Jadranska Hrvatska (27.7 million nights) in Croatia, followed by Andalucia (19.5 million) in Spain and Provence-Alpes-C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur (16.9 million) in France.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 20 most popular tourist regions were all located in just 6 EU countries: 6 in France, 5 in Spain, 4 in Italy, 3 in Greece, and 1 in Portugal and Croatia.<\/p>\n
