Warner Music Group (WMG), the global music giant controlled by Len Blavatnik, announced on Wednesday that it has signed a binding agreement to acquire independent music platform Revelator, an Israeli startup providing a technology platform for independent music businesses worldwide. The deal is expected to close in the next quarter.<\/p>\n
Founded in 2012, Revelator is a music platform specializing in digital music distribution, copyright management, royalty management, and real-time analytics. Its integration into WMG will expand the scope of WMG’s activities and enhance the range of services it offers to record labels and artists.<\/p>\n
Today, Revelator supports hundreds of customers through an advanced, cloud-based platform that streamlines the operations and financial management of artists, record labels, and distributors. The company\u2019s team brings deep expertise in music, technology, and financial management, which will now contribute to WMG\u2019s global operations, while continuing to serve Revelator\u2019s existing clients.<\/p>\n
