Filming is well underway on the fourth season of Mike White<\/a>\u2019s anthology series The White Lotus, centered around wealthy vacationers and their debaucherous misadventures at the titular resort. This edition is jetsetting over to the south of France, with production taking place at the Ch\u00e2teau de la Messardi\u00e8re, a fortress of a luxury hotel in Saint-Tropez.<\/p>\n

Of course, it\u2019s never a chill vacay at The White Lotus\u2014and though details are scarce on what exactly this season will be about\u2014this trip to the C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur will be no exception. Expect an exasperated manager, demanding guests, and at least one dead body to surface. \u201cSeason 4 is a little bit about fame,\u201d White also told Entertainment Tonight<\/a>. \u201cThere are some people who are satisfied with the love of one intimate partner or a family, and then there\u2019s some people who need the love of strangers.\u201d<\/p>\n

And ever since season one had its cast spending lockdown in Hawaii<\/a>, a White Lotus role has become one of the most sought-after acting gigs available. Who wouldn\u2019t want to spend months in some of the world\u2019s finest hotels?<\/p>\n

Over the past few weeks, there\u2019s been a slow trickle of casting announcements for The White Lotus season four, expected to launch next year. White has teased some Survivor cameos following his own stint on Survivor 50, but stopped just short of sharing who exactly is getting that coveted invite. Naturally, he has a few surprises up his sleeve. But we’re looking at one of the best\u2014and biggest\u2014casts in the show’s storied history.<\/p>\n

Along with AJ Michalka, Alexander Ludwig was the first cast member to join this season\u2019s ensemble. The actor is most well known for portraying Cato, the Career Tribute from District 2 in The Hunger Games, and his starring role in History Channel\u2019s Vikings. He\u2019ll also be making his directorial debut with Billings, a healthcare drama starring himself and Carla Gugino. As for The White Lotus, Reddit is speculating he\u2019ll portray one of the obligatory \u201cdouche guys\u201d \u00e0 la Shane (Jake Lacy) and Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger).
