The 31-year-old, also known as Megan Pete, was reportedly taken to hospital on Tuesday during her performance for Moulin Rouge! The Musical in New York.<\/p>\n

It comes just over a week after she stepped into the role of Zidler, the master of ceremonies and owner of the Moulin Rouge, marking her Broadway debut.<\/p>\n

The singer updated fans in a post shared on Instagram on Wednesday where she admitted she had pushed herself past her limits and\u00a0was \u201crunning on empty\u201d.<\/p>\n

She told her 32.7 million followers: \u201cLast night was a real wake-up call for me.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt honestly scared me. I thought I was gonna faint on stage, I really tried to push through my performance but I just couldn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just need one day to rest, reset, and take care of myself the way I should have been\u2026 I\u2019ll be right back on that stage Thursday, stronger, clearer, and ready to give you 100% the way you deserve.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for always riding with me and loving me through everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

In February, she announced she would be joining the New York production of the musical from March 24 until May 17.<\/p>\n

The rapper is best known for her songs, Body, Savage, Girls In The Hood, and WAP \u2013 her number one UK single with Cardi B.<\/p>\n
