\nStalled diplomacy: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that while Iran has received messages from the US, trust remains \u201cat zero\u201d for any potential negotiations.
\nAppeals to Americans: Iran\u2019s President Masoud Pezeshkian has called on the US public<\/a> to question Washington\u2019s motives for continuing the war. \nIran calls US demands \u2018irrational\u2019: Iran said on Thursday that Washington\u2019s demands were \u201cmaximalist and irrational\u201d and denied any negotiations were under way on a ceasefire to end the war.
\nSenior Iranian politician wounded in strike: Former Iranian foreign minister Kamal Kharazi was seriously wounded when a strike hit his Tehran home, killing his wife, Iranian media reported. Kharazi has reportedly been involved in the back-channel communication involving Pakistan, aimed at bringing Tehran and Washington back to the negotiating table.
