{"id":371801,"date":"2026-04-02T21:09:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-02T21:09:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/371801\/"},"modified":"2026-04-02T21:09:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T21:09:09","slug":"walmart-set-to-close-two-montreal-stores","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/371801\/","title":{"rendered":"Walmart set to close two Montreal stores"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Walmart will be closing two stores on the island of Montreal by end of June, one in Pointe-aux-Trembles and the other in C\u00f4te-des-Neiges.<\/p>\n<p>More than 237 employees from both locations will be affected and will be reassigned to other stores.<\/p>\n<p>Walmart Canada told CityNews in a statement: <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re\u00a0always focused on how to best serve our customers, including evaluating our store footprint and formats across the country.\u202fAs part of this ongoing review of our store strategy,\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0made the difficult decision to close the Pointe-Aux-Trembles (12675 Sherbrooke E.) and C\u00f4te-des-Neiges (6700 Ch. de la C\u00f4te-des-Neiges) stores in Quebec. The C\u00f4te-des-Neiges store will officially close on June 19,\u00a02026\u00a0and the Pointe-Aux-Trembles store will close on June 26, 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Image-3-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-476208\" style=\"width:819px;height:auto\"  \/>Walmart in Montreal at Plaza C\u00f4te-des-Neiges.
