\n\tDan Nigro helped Rodrigo create her first two albums, and You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love finds the dynamic duo reuniting. \u201cOlivia and I made an album,\u201d the producer wrote on Instagram<\/a> following the album announcement. \u201cI\u2019m pretty excited about it!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRodrigo quietly revealed the number of songs on You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love when the album\u2019s countdown page<\/a> appeared on streaming services. Without sharing the titles yet, the countdown showed that the project has a total of 13 tracks.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe title of You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love apparently hits the nail on the head in terms of what its songs are about, with Rodrigo telling British Vogue ahead of its release that it\u2019s an album of \u201csad love songs.\u201d \u201cI realized all my favorite romantic love songs were beautiful because they had a tinge of fear or yearning in them,\u201d she explained to the publication.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI felt a similar way about falling in love, that the second I\u2019m in a really great relationship, I\u2019m gonna start feeling good about myself, and this stuff is going to fall into place,\u201d she added. \u201cBut it just doesn\u2019t work like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\t\u2018Sex and the City\u2019 Inspired One Song<\/p>\n

\n\tBritish Vogue also teased one song on Rodrigo\u2019s album with a \u201cdreamier, hazier\u201d vibe. The singer told the publication that the track was inspired by a moment in Sex and the City when Miranda tells Steve, \u201cWhenever something funny happens, I always want to tell you about it.\u201d<\/p>\n
