Another significant downpour is expected over a large swath of eastern Ontario and western Quebec Saturday.<\/p>\n

Rain is in the forecast for much of the region this Easter long weekend, with some areas expected to receive a considerable amount in less than 24 hours.<\/p>\n

As of Friday afternoon, Environment Canada had issued rainfall warnings for places like Pembroke, Ont., and Maniwaki, Que., both of which could see more than 30 millimetres of rain \u2014 and potentially up to 50 millimetres \u2014 from Saturday afternoon until Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

Ottawa and Kingston could also see between 25 and 50 millimetres throughout the same period, the weather agency said.<\/p>\n

Since there’s still snow on the ground in some places and the ground hasn’t completely thawed, ponds of water could emerge in certain low-lying areas. <\/p>\n

Visibility will also be reduced during the stormy weather, Environment Canada said.<\/p>\n
