One of her main collaborators is Alexander 23, a producer who’s worked on hits from Olivia Rodrigo and Ren\u00e9e Rapp. You might feel inclined to dismiss Ebrahimi as a music-industry creation out of hand. Ebrahimi has released a handful of singles in the past year, and her new one really grabbed me. “I’m Sorry Maria” starts out as a murky swirl, though it already has a pulse. The song quickly rises into something more cathartic, and it packs a whole lot of dynamic changes into its classically structured three minutes and 47 second.
