The Easter Sunday service in Windsor is always a well-chapeauxed affair. Kate Middleton decided to make a rare new purchase as a seasonal treat, meeting the occasion head-on.<\/p>\n

The Princess of Wales stepped out with the whole family\u2014husband Prince William, and their three children Charlotte, Louis, and George\u2014for the Easter Matins Service at St. George\u2019s Chapel, on the grounds of Windsor Castle.<\/p>\n

It was a warmly received return for Kate and the family after a two-year absence<\/a>, having skipped the last two services while she focused on her cancer treatment<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This year, she opted to wear a cream Self Portrait dress with lace appliqu\u00e9s on its tailored blazer-like top and full midi skirt. (The last time we saw this dress was in 2022 on a royal engagement with Princess Anne.) Kate paired it with the Bahrain pearl drop earrings, the toffee-colored Nano Montreal bag<\/a> from her beloved DeMellier<\/a>, and gold calfskin Ralph Lauren pumps.<\/p>\n

And while Kate has become known for recycling her expansive wardrobe<\/a>, today\u2019s teardrop-shaped cream hat, adorned with leaf appliqu\u00e9s, is new from milliner Juliette Botterill. The London-based brand is a royal go-to (from Princess Beatrice to Zara Tindall) and one that\u2019s a firm Kate Middleton favorite for its feminine shapes, bright colors, and fun floral details. The royal has at least eight in her collection, including an aquamarine sculptural hat which she wore for Trooping The Colour<\/a> last year and her floral and veil adorned black fascinator which made an appearance last Remembrance Sunday<\/a>. Last month, the princess wore another statement-making, wide-brimmed hat by Botterill to meet the first female Archbishop of Canterbury.<\/p>\n
