The scathing allegations against Charli xcx <\/a>first surfaced six weeks ago when the \u201cEverything Is Embarrassing\u201d songstress <\/a>commented under a meme about their collaboration on the 2026 Wuthering Heights album.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo record my old songs******,\u201d Ferreira wrote in response.<\/p>\n

Now, weeks after that pointed comment, Ferreira fired up with her claims<\/a> after an X user named\u00a0Leon questioned her \u201cform of income\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomeone sent me to your X account,\u201d the singer began on the X user\u2019s Instagram account.<\/p>\n

\u201cI toured for years. I work. I hate to break it to you, but your favourite artists record my old songs. I hope that answers your question.\u201d <\/p>\n

Hours later, Ferreira returned to the same post, this time sharing a lengthy statement on what she claims has happened to her as an artist and her music, stating she is \u201cover being dragged and humiliated for no reason\u201d. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt brought back a lot of things I have worked really hard to move past,\u201d she began on the same post in a separate comment. <\/p>\n

\u201cNo one \u2018saved\u2019 or helped me. My life was destroyed for over 10 years, and it\u2019s a public joke. Publications etc. It isn\u2019t funny; it allows people to disrespect and take advantage of me, or to manipulate multiple situations based on their perception of me. <\/p>\n

\u201cI wasn\u2019t allowed to do anything. I mind my own business, so I don\u2019t know why everything is so loaded. I don\u2019t want to be harassed. I don\u2019t want the actions of multiple people fucking things up for me and my album. I\u2019m an honest person. People don\u2019t care about the truth. It\u2019s about whatever narrative is fitting or more exciting. I\u2019m glad I can finally move on with my life.\u201d <\/p>\n

Sky Ferreira responds to industry insider\u2019s claims on her beef with Charli xcx<\/p>\n

In a now-deleted tweet, Leon claimed he \u201casked [an] industry insider about the Sky X Charli\u201d claims. According to Leon\u2019s \u201cindustry insider\u201d, they claimed that Charli xcx\u2019s \u201cEyes Of The World\u201d and the \u201cChains Of Love\u201d intro were taken from Ferreira\u2019s \u201cAncient Idols\u201d, and that \u201cAltars\u201d was originally a 2015 demo from Ferreira. <\/p>\n

The singer clocked the now-deleted tweet and told Leon, \u201cYour industry \u2018insider\u2019 is wrong. Close but wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not going to get into it, but it was definitely more than an intro. I have proof of everything with dates. It isn\u2019t worth the trouble [because] I know how the world works.\u201d <\/p>\n

Fans of both Charli and Ferreira are distraught, especially since the pair have previously collabed on projects before the Wuthering Heights album. They\u2019ve also been spotted together at events, and in 2024, the pair reunited at the Babygirl premiere alongside fellow music icon, Caroline Polachek.<\/p>\n

At the time of writing, Charli xcx has not responded to Ferreira\u2019s claims. <\/p>\n
