I\u2019m glad to see a different kind of Orion helping return humans to the Moon as America charts the course to the lunar surface. Below you on the Moon is a photo of my family. I pray it reminds you that we and America and all of the world are cheering you on.\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1536\" height=\"1920\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/S71-51289~large.jpg\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail\" alt=\"Charlie duke\" style=\"transform: scale(1); transform-origin: 50% 50%; object-position: 50% 50%; object-fit: cover;\" block_context=\"nasa-block\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"blockquote-credit-name line-height-sm margin-0\">Charlie duke<\/p>\n<p class=\"blockquote-credit-title line-height-sm padding-0 margin-0\">Apollo 16 Astronaut<\/p>\n<p>NASA astronauts\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/people\/reid-wiseman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Reid Wiseman<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/humans-in-space\/astronauts\/victor-j-glover\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Victor Glover<\/a>,\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/people\/christina-koch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Christina Koch<\/a>,\u00a0along with\u00a0CSA (Canadian Space Agency)\u00a0astronaut\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.asc-csa.gc.ca\/eng\/astronauts\/canadian\/active\/bio-jeremy-hansen.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Jeremy Hansen<\/a>, will conduct a full sequence of suit operations, including putting on and pressurizing their suits, performing\u00a0leak checks, simulating seat entry, and assessing mobility and their ability to eat and drink.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The suits\u00a0are\u00a0designed to protect astronauts during dynamic phases of flight, provide life support\u00a0in the event of\u00a0cabin depressurization, and support survival operations after splashdown. The demonstration offers insight into how the suit performs during extended wear in microgravity and how its enhanced mobility, thermal management, and communication systems support crew operations during Artemis missions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Later today, the crew will perform an outbound trajectory correction burn, receive their final lunar science targets, and enter the Moon\u2019s gravitational sphere of influence.
