Emily has been on maternity leave for almost a year after she and husband Patrick Christys welcomed their first child, George, back in September 2025.<\/p>\n

Emily first teased her comeback on X shortly before going on air, posting a smiley selfie alongside her Britain’s Newsroom co-host.<\/p>\n
“Back in the studio this morning! Presenting Britain\u2019s Newsroom with @Alexarmstrong! Join us 9.30am!” Emily captioned the snap.<\/p>\n
And soon after, Emily posted an update involving baby George, with the adorable tot showing his support from home.<\/p>\n

I was going to ask if he watched his Mam on TV,” one X user replied, while a second simply put: “Lovely.” (sic)<\/p>\n “Quality.
