After a long absence, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage<\/a> is bringing back a Young Sheldon fan-favorite. <\/p>\n

Because Georgie and Mandy’s new life as a family with the McAllisters also takes place in Medford, The Big Bang Theory spinoff occasionally functions as a continuation of its parent series after the Young Sheldon finale<\/a>. The remaining Cooper family members in Texas have been involved in multiple plots so far, with the latest one centered on Missy’s teenage years, as she starts to be more adventurous with her relationships. While Georgie’s sister, Mary, and even Pastor Jeff have been integral players in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 2, there’s still one notable absent from the recurring guest star list.<\/p>\n

Technically not a member of Young Sheldon’s Cooper family<\/a>, Connie Tucker was still a vital character in the prequel series, initially embodying Sheldon’s spunky but lovable grandmother. As the show went on, however, the series started establishing her special bond with Georgie, especially after Mandy’s unexpected pregnancy came out in the open. Annie Potts appeared several times in season 1, but she is barely a presence in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 2, which is about to change. <\/p>\n

As confirmed in the official trailer for Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 2, episode 15 (via TVPromos<\/a>), Meemaw finally resurfaces in the show to team-up with Mandy. The outing, titled “A Stuffed Monkey and an Ex-Girlfriend,” sees the pair starting a new business venture with a side of illegal activity. Elsewhere, Connor considers the possibility of getting back with his ex-girlfriend. Watch the clip below: <\/p>\n

Potts’ absence from Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 2 is due to Fox’s Best Medicine, where she plays a regular cast member, Aunt Joan. Because the freshman comedy was filming on the East Coast and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage was shot in California, the Chuck Lorre series needed to be more strategic with how they were going to make sure that Meemaw remained relevant until they found a way to work with her schedule. Luckily, they were able to find a way to feature her, although a little late in the 2025-2026 TV cycle<\/a>. <\/p>\n

As great as it is always to see Meemaw reunite with the family, it’s a little disheartening to find out that she hasn’t outgrown her penchant for being a hustler. For context, one of her last major arcs in Young Sheldon involved her running an illegal gambling den at the back of her laundromat, which was where Georgie and Mandy first crossed paths. Unfortunately, she ran out of luck, resulting in the establishment getting shut down. She tried other illegal ways to earn money, which even put her and Dale’s relationship at risk. <\/p>\n

Considering what was established in The Big Bang Theory, it’s safe to say that Meemaw’s latest business venture won’t last long.
