EastEnders<\/a> spoilers follow for Tuesday\u2019s episode (7 April), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn\u2019t yet aired on TV.<\/p>\n

EastEnders has revealed a deadly incident from Jasmine Fisher\u2019s past, which explains why she was removed from Sandra Goodwin\u2019s care as a child. It\u2019s a big week for Jasmine, who is standing trial for the murder of her biological dad<\/a> Anthony Trueman on Christmas Day.<\/p>\n

While Jasmine is claiming self-defence, as Anthony was attacking her mum Zoe at the time, this week Ritchie told the Slaters that Patrick\u2019s recorded statement was damning, and that Jasmine could be in real trouble.<\/p>\n

Ritchie encouraged Kat to take the stand and defend Jasmine, and she eventually agreed, in fear that she would lose Zoe again if she refused to do so. However, she later confided in Alfie that she still had doubts about Jasmine\u2019s version of events.<\/p>\n

In today\u2019s episode<\/a>, the community prepared for the trial, and Alfie comforted Kat as she worried about facing questions about Jasmine under oath.<\/p>\n

Before Josh set off for court with the Truemans<\/a>, he and Sandra told them that they were moving to Southend next week to be closer to Sandra\u2019s elderly mum \u2013 but Jasmine and Zoe don\u2019t yet know this.<\/p>\n

Forced to stay away from the court until she gives evidence, Kat noticed that Sandra was giving the trial a miss. She confronted her about why was staying away and asked to have a proper chat about Jasmine.<\/p>\n

In The Albert, Sandra explained that Jasmine was a difficult child in her care and was in the car when her husband Keith was killed, while driving her home from swimming.<\/p>\n

As there were no answers about how they crashed, Sandra suspected that Jasmine caused the fatal incident<\/a>, especially as the child acted coldly in the aftermath of Keith\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, at the trial, the court watched Jasmine\u2019s footage of Anthony\u2019s death, with the prosecution using it as evidence of murder \u2013 then Patrick\u2019s statement made matters worse<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Zoe then gave evidence about her experience of that fateful night, but her passionate defence of her daughter was swiftly picked apart.<\/p>\n

With Sandra\u2019s warning not to trust Jasmine in her head, Kat took the stand. She was initially in her granddaughter\u2019s corner, telling the court that Anthony was scary and calculated.<\/p>\n

However, she faced intense pressure from the prosecution, and when pushed to the limit Kat admitted that she didn\u2019t believe Jasmine\u2019s story.<\/p>\n
