The eclipse occurred Monday evening, toward the end of the mission\u2019s hourslong lunar flyby, when the sun slipped behind the moon. <\/p>\n<p id=\"anchor-6495a8\" class=\"body-graf\">The astronauts became the first people to view a solar eclipse from the moon.
