{"id":380115,"date":"2026-04-07T20:04:07","date_gmt":"2026-04-07T20:04:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/380115\/"},"modified":"2026-04-07T20:04:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T20:04:07","slug":"noah-hawley-to-direct-remake-of-argentine-terrified-for-warners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/il\/380115\/","title":{"rendered":"Noah Hawley to Direct Remake of Argentine \u2019Terrified\u2019 for Warners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/noah-hawley\/\" id=\"auto-tag_noah-hawley_1\" data-tag=\"noah-hawley\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Noah Hawley<\/a> \u2014 the Emmy-winning creative behind <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/fargo-0\/\" id=\"auto-tag_fargo-0_1\" data-tag=\"fargo-0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fargo<\/a> and Alien: Earth \u2014 has set his next film project with Warner Bros., a remake of the Argentine supernatural horror Terrified.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHawley is set to direct and produce the feature, which is being developed with Demi\u00e1n Rugna, the writer-director behind the original Spanish-language feature, Aterrados.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe project will be a reimagining of the 2017 film, which centers on a police officer and a series of paranormal researchers and investigators who attempt to get to the bottom of supernatural occurrences that are centered in one neighborhood in Buenos Aires. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHawley will produce under his Austin-based banner, 26 Keys. 26 Keys most recently released Alien: Earth, the critically acclaimed series based on the classic sci-fi franchise, which is set for a second season at Hulu and FX. (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-reviews\/alien-earth-timothy-olyphant-sydney-chandler-noah-hawley-fx-1236335484\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Hollywood Reporter\u2019s review<\/a> of the series called it a \u201cthrilling epic about personhood, hubris and, of course, the primal pleasure of watching people get absolutely rocked by space monsters.\u201d)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t26 Keys is also behind Hawley\u2019s anthology series Fargo, the Emmys juggernaut that has been nominated for 70 Primetime Emmy Awards, including seven wins over its five seasons, as well as the FX series Legion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHawley, who is repped by WME, Untitled and McKuin Frankel, made his feature film directorial debut in 2019 with Fox Searchlight\u2019s\u00a0Lucy in the Sky.
