Diaz is helping develop the project as a possible star vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Plot specifics are currently under wraps but Laurence Mark (\u201cThe Greatest Showman\u201d) serves as a producer alongside Diaz and Katherine Power.<\/p>\n<p>Long starred in the original as Phyllis Nefler, a Beverly Hills socialite going through a divorce who decides to lead a troop of scouts.<\/p>\n<p>Craig T. Nelson, Betty Thomas, Mary Gross, Stephanie Beacham, Carla Gugino and Jenny Lewis rounded out the cast for the film, which developed a cult following over the years.<\/p>\n<p>Diaz recently returned to filmmaking with Netflix\u2019s \u201cBack in Action\u201d.
