Michael J. Fox is reassuring fans that he’s doing just fine after a CNN report was published saying he had died.<\/p>\n
The actor addressed the mishap in a post on Threads <\/a>on April 8.<\/p>\n “How do you react when you turn on the TV and CNN is reporting your death? Do you\u2026A) switch to MNSBC, or whatever they are calling themselves these days, (B) Pour scolding hot water on your lap, if it hurts your fine, (C) Call your wife, hopefully she\u2019s concerned but reassuring, (D) Relax, they do this once every year, (E) Ask yourself wtf ?” Fox wrote.<\/p>\n The 64-year-old ended his post on a light note, writing, “I thought the world was ending, but apparently it\u2019s just me and I\u2019m ok. Love, Mike.” <\/p>\n CNN accidentally published an article and video titled \u201cRemembering the life of actor Michael J. Fox\u201d earlier this week.<\/p>\n A CNN spokesperson shared the following statement with NBC News: “The package was published in error; we have removed it from our platforms and send our apologies to Michael J. Fox and his family.”<\/p>\n Fox’s fans responded to his Threads post and shared his signature sense of humor.<\/p>\n “Go outside and ask the first person you come across: ‘Can you see me?’ Glad you’re ok btw!” one wrote.<\/p>\n Another commented, “Well I hadn\u2019t seen it reported so I\u2019m glad I saw this first\u2026 ” <\/p>\n Actor Kathy Griffin also weighed in, writing, “You\u2019re a helluva ghost. \u2764\ufe0f\ud83d\ude02.”<\/p>\n Fox, who has Parkinson\u2019s disease, has spoken openly about his health over the years and opened up about his diagnosis in a documentary <\/a>in 2023. In the documentary, the actor revealed how his wife, Tracy Pollan, reacted to the news.<\/p>\n “\u2018In sickness and in health,\u2019 I remember her whispering,” he said. “No one outside of my family knew.”<\/p>\n Fox learned that he had Parkinson’s when he was just 29 years old. However, he waited quite some time before he went public with his diagnosis.<\/p>\n
