But according to Corriere dello Sport today, Friday, Bastoni wants to continue with Inter and keep competing for titles at San Siro.<\/p>\n
The newspaper noted that Manchester City had shown interest in signing the player a few seasons ago, but Bastoni preferred at the time to remain in Italy, reflecting his ongoing desire for stability within Serie A.<\/p>\n
Other reports also add that there is a large gap between Inter Milan\u2019s and Barcelona\u2019s valuations of the player, as the Catalan club is believed to be considering offers of around \u20ac45 million, while Inter is asking for between \u20ac60 and \u20ac70 million.<\/p>\n
The newspaper confirmed that contacts have already taken place between Barcelona and Bastoni\u2019s representatives, but they are still at an early stage, especially since the player has shown no readiness to discuss the idea of a transfer in greater depth.<\/p>\n
The Italian defender, according to the report, feels that Inter is \u201chis team,\u201d especially after the strong support he received from the club during recently difficult periods.<\/p>\n
The club stood by him despite being booed in most away stadiums in Italy following the controversial, hard-fought win in the Derby d\u2019Italia against Juventus. He also received warm applause from the fans upon returning to club matches after his sending-off in Italy\u2019s match against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the World Cup playoff.<\/p>\n
