Coachella kicks off today, and Katseye<\/a> has a prime-time slot. The girl group is set to perform at 8 p.m. on Friday night just before headliner, Sabrina Carpenter<\/a>. Earlier this week, they released a new single they\u2019ll perform live for the first time at the festival. This should be a huge moment for Katseye and their fans, but one question is hanging over the whole affair: Will Manon be there?<\/p>\n Back in February, Katseye\u2019s label, HYBE x Geffen, announced Manon Bannerman, the group\u2019s oldest member, would be taking a \u201ctemporary hiatus\u201d<\/a> from their schedule. In her own statement, the singer said, \u201cSometimes things unfold in ways we don\u2019t fully control, but I\u2019m trusting the bigger picture.\u201d This week, she released another statement<\/a>, saying she\u2019d been having \u201cpositive conversations\u201d with the label.<\/p>\n Based on everything coming out of Coachella, those positive conversations do not seem to be leading her back to the group. On Thursday, HYBE apparently told the Korea Herald<\/a> that Manon would not be performing at Coachella and that she \u201cremains on hiatus.\u201d If that wasn\u2019t enough of a confirmation, a video from a fan who witnessed the group\u2019s sound check showed only five women onstage instead of six.<\/p>\n KATSEYE\u2019s Coachella soundcheck sadly appears to be 5 members.
