Asha Bhosle<\/a>, the legendary Indian playback singer whose voice helped define Bollywood, has died at 92 after suffering a heart attack in Mumbai. Her son confirmed the news. With a career spanning more than eight decades and over 12,000 songs, Bhosle became one of Indian cinema\u2019s most enduring and versatile musical icons.<\/p>\n

She was celebrated for a voice that could move effortlessly between romantic ballads, cabaret-style hits, devotional songs, ghazals and pop collaborations.
