He\u2019s currently writing the next installment of the\u00a0Child\u2019s Play\u00a0franchise, which will reportedly have a \u201cloose connection\u201d to the USA show. Said show, in case you forgot or didn\u2019t know, ended with Chucky and Tiffany\u2014him back in his doll body, her in a prototype Belle doll\u2014leaving with Caroline while the main kids had their souls put into marionette dolls.<\/p>\n<p>Not counting the 2019 remake,\u00a0Child\u2019s Play\u00a0has kept its continuity for decades, and this next movie will function as a reset similar to 2013\u2019s Curse of Chucky. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/bloody-disgusting.com\/movie\/3945716\/don-mancini-writing-scary-new-chucky-movie-for-theaters-heres-what-we-know\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BloodyDisgusting<\/a>, Mancini\u2019s aim is to make it in a tone similar to\u00a0Curse\u00a0and the first two\u00a0Child\u2019s Play\u00a0movies. And most importantly, this next film will be in theaters: Curse played theatrically in a few countries, but it\u2019s otherwise a direct-to-DVD movie, as was the follow up Cult of Chucky.
