\n\tThe Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has officially announced this year\u2019s inductees: Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division\/New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross, and Wu-Tang Clan will join the class of 2026 in the Performer category.<\/p>\n
\n\tCelia Cruz, Fela Kuti, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, and Gram Parsons will be presented with the Early Influence Award; Philly Soul songwriter Linda Creed, producer Arif Mardin, producer Jimmy Miller, and Rick Rubin will be honored with the Musical Excellence Award; and Ed Sullivan will be given the Ahmet Ertegun Award.<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cInduction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is music\u2019s highest honor,\u201d John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, says in a statement. \u201cWe look forward to celebrating these remarkable artists at this year\u2019s ceremony \u2013 it\u2019s going to be an unforgettable night.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tThe ceremony will take place on November 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. It will air on ABC and Disney+ the following month.<\/p>\n

\n\tPhil Collins was inducted as a member of Genesis in 2010, but this was his first time appearing on the ballot as a solo artist. He\u2019s kept a low profile since wrapping up the Genesis Last Domino? farewell tour in March 2022. But he reemerged earlier this year for a BBC interview where he said that he\u2019s \u201ctotally mobile and healthy\u201d<\/a> following a difficult period of health setbacks.<\/p>\n \n\tBilly Idol was overjoyed when he learned the news. \u201cWe\u2019re been building towards this, and it\u2019s a perfect payoff,\u201d <\/a>he tells Rolling Stone<\/a>. \u201cYou couldn\u2019t have dreamed it better, really.
