Microsoft Gaming CEO Asha Sharma has reportedly stated that Xbox Game Pass pricing will change, noting it has “become too expensive for players.”<\/p>\n

In an internal memo obtained by The Verge<\/a>, Sharma said the subscription service requires “a better value equation.”<\/p>\n

“Long term, we will evolve Game Pass into a more flexible system, which will take time to test and learn around.”<\/p>\n

Last year, Xbox increased the price of Game Pass by up to 50%.<\/a> Microsoft’s director of gaming and platform communications, Dustin Blackwell, stated the increases were intended to strengthen offerings<\/a> by “adding more value to these plans.”<\/p>\n

“It’s something we don’t take lightly, and we’re listening to the feedback of players and the community to try and provide them with more of what they’re asking for.”<\/p>\n

The firm later clarified that existing customers on auto-renewing plans<\/a> in select regions would not be affected by the price increases.<\/p>\n

These regions include Germany, Ireland, South Korea, Poland, and India.
