KNOXVILLE, Tenn. \u2013 Tennessee track & field spans coast-to-coast this week as 50 athletes and five relay squads are slated to compete at the Wake Forest Invitational in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California, and the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational in Gainesville, Florida. UT’s distance runners are in action Thursday and Friday at the Wake Forest and Bryan Clay meets, while the sprinters, hurdlers, relays, pole vaulters, jumpers and throwers compete Friday and Saturday at Tom Jones.

\nThe three-meet slate begins Thursday at approximately 7:37 p.m. ET with Carter Knox<\/a> in the men’s 800-meter at Wake Forest, followed by Tula Fawbush<\/a> and Amelia Wills<\/a> in the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase. On the West Coast, Zouhair Redouane<\/a> is set for his 10,000-meter season debut at 11:50 p.m. ET at the Bryan Clay Invitational.

\nSophomore thrower Aidan Ifkovits<\/a> leads off Friday’s competition at Tom Jones in the collegiate men’s hammer at noon ET, while action at Wake Forest begins at 7:30 p.m. with Mary Nyaboke Ogwoka<\/a> and Amelia Wills<\/a> in the women’s 1,500-meter. At approximately 12:25 a.m. ET Saturday, Ethan Edgeworth<\/a> will run the men’s 5,000-meter at Bryan Clay to cap Friday’s schedule.

\nUT wraps up the weekend Saturday at Tom Jones, beginning at 9 a.m. with Wesley Badenhorst<\/a> in the collegiate men’s discus and concluding at approximately 6:07 p.m. with the men’s 4×400-meter relay.

\nLAST TIME OUT: Tennessee track & field turned in a record-breaking weekend on Rocky Top, hosting the 2026 Tennessee Invite and combining for 13 total event victories across two days of competition. The meet was highlighted by a pair of school records on Friday, as junior Cedricka Williams<\/a> shattered a 49-year-old program mark in the women’s discus with a throw of 60.57 meters (198-8) \u2014 ranking second nationally \u2014 while freshman Hannah Grace<\/a> reset her own school record in the pole vault at 4.52 meters (14-10), taking over the SEC lead and moving to No. 3 in the NCAA.

\nThe Big Orange saw strong performances across the board, including wins from Endia Smith<\/a> (triple jump), Aron Alvarez Aranda<\/a> (discus), Cade Gray<\/a> (pole vault, long jump) and a freshman-record javelin mark from Brett Jones<\/a> (50.75m\/166-6). Tennessee added seven more victories on Saturday, highlighted by Igor Olaru’s<\/a> hammer throw title (69.66m), a season-best 38.97 from the men’s 4×100-meter relay, and a win in the women’s 4×400-meter relay (3:36.77). Additional event titles came from Kalib Branch<\/a> (110m hurdles), Grant Campbell<\/a> (high jump) and JL Van Rensburg<\/a> (shot put), as the Vols and Lady Vols closed out a dominant weekend at home.

\nWEEKLY HONORS: Following a standout weekend at the Tennessee Invite, Cedricka Williams<\/a> and Hannah Grace<\/a> took home SEC weekly awards, earning Women’s Field Athlete of the Week and Women’s Freshman of the Week honors, respectively. Williams broke a 49-year-old program record in the discus with a 60.57-meter (198-9) throw that ranks second nationally, while Grace cleared a lifetime-best 4.52 meters (14-10) in the pole vault to reset her own school record, lead the SEC and rank third in the NCAA.

\nRANKINGS UPDATE: In the latest installment of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national rating index, the Vols rose to No. 6, while the Lady Vols held steady at No. 13. Tennessee is one of eight schools in the country with both its men’s and women’s programs ranked in the top 15 nationally.

\nAdditionally, Tennessee owns the No. 1 event squad in the country in both the men’s pole vault and men’s 400-meter hurdles. UT’s top four performers in those events hold an average mark of 5.55 meters (18-2.5) and 50.96 seconds, respectively.
