Open Cosmos, the satellite manufacturer, \u00a0is collaborating \u00a0with Ubotica Technologies \u00a0on the Flight Demonstration of Federated Autonomous MEasurement (FAME) \u2013 a project led by NASA\u2019s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).<\/p>\n

The collaboration will see two of Open Cosmos\u2019 operational satellites, equipped with Ubotica\u2019s SPACE:AI platform, form part of the FAME network under the Advanced Information Systems Technology programme in NASA\u2019s Earth Science Technology Office.<\/p>\n

FAME will demonstrate a new paradigm for Earth observation \u2013 connecting more than 50 satellites into a federated, intelligent network capable of autonomously detecting, analysing and responding to events in near real-time.<\/p>\n

At the heart of Open Cosmos\u2019 contribution are two AI-enabled satellites, HAMMER (pictured) and Accenture-1 (SUAC), equipped with hyperspectral imaging capabilities and onboard artificial intelligence powered by Ubotica\u2019s platform. Open Cosmos developed, designed, manufactured and operated these satellites for information delivery in real-time to the end user. All Open Cosmos satellites in the Open Constellation have these advanced capabilities.<\/p>\n

This is advancing a step-change in how satellite data is captured and acted upon \u2013 moving from delayed, ground-based analysis to real-time, in-orbit decision-making.<\/p>\n
