Seann Walsh has become the first campmate to leave the jungle in the second season of I’m a Celebrity\u2026 South Africa, and some viewers aren’t particularly happy with the way it played out.<\/p>\n

In tonight’s (16 April) episode of the ITV reality series<\/a>, the comedian was eliminated by Harry Redknapp after hosts Ant & Dec introduced a shock twist, in which one of the Kings had to send one of their servants home.<\/p>\n

As this iteration of the spin-off<\/a> was pre-recorded in September, the voting system differs from the main series – which is partly live – wherein viewers get a say, and the nature of Walsh’s exit has proven to be divisive with fans.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m a bit miffed off that Seann has gone,” wrote one disappointed viewer on X<\/a>, while another remarked<\/a>: “Love Harry but he made the wrong decision. I knew he\u2019d get rid of Seann, so disappointed!”<\/p>\n

“Seann didn’t really get an interview, it was like a 5 second chat then off on the boat. [He] didn’t get a best bit[s] clips wtf?,” noted a third<\/a>, while a fourth wrote<\/a> that the brutal nature of the elimination was “horrible”.<\/p>\n

A fifth echoed this sentiment, writing<\/a>: “Disappointed but not surprised that Harry chose Seann. I wanted him to stay in because he makes me laugh so much but he was never going to choose one of the ones that\u2019s better at the trials.”<\/p>\n

Though some fans were unhappy with his exit, Walsh wasn’t surprised, with the comedian remarking: “As soon as Harry mentioned someone had to go, I was basically packing my bags. I knew it was going to be me, because I knew who I was up against.”<\/p>\n

He added: “It’s a combination of emotions. I was thrilled to be able to see my family because I missed my kids a lot. At the same time, I’m sad they won\u2019t see me in the jungle for longer or doing more trials.”<\/p>\n

Walsh, who previously competed in the 22nd season of the main series in 2022, said his latest stint in the jungle was much more demanding. “The trials were harder and scarier,” he explained. “It felt like it was turned up to eleven, so that just put more anxiety into the camp.”<\/p>\n

He continued: “The pleasure for me was the extraordinary people you get to live with. I don\u2019t think I\u2019ll ever forget that. It felt strange for me being in their presence, because they are almost historic figures in entertainment and sport. That doesn\u2019t go over the top of my head.”<\/p>\n
