The Duchess of Sussex attended a 90-minute speaking engagement at Sydney’s InterContinental hotel near Coogee Beach, as her four-day Australian trip with Prince Harry drew to a close.<\/p>\n
Attendees at the ticketed event paid as much as \u00a31,700 for VIP access, which included a personal photograph with Meghan and a gala dinner featuring dishes such as Hiramasa kingfish tostada and riverina Angus beef tenderloin.<\/p>\n
Taking her seat in a plush pink armchair on a stage resembling a daytime television set, the duchess posed a question to the assembled women: “I’ve spent all my life investing in women, can I finally invest in me?”<\/p>\n

One attendee told The Times: “It was the most unusual thing. People were taking pictures of Meghan on the stage and Harry sort of rushed out. Really quickly. He didn’t wait for her to come off the stage, didn’t collect her from the stage. It was really odd.”<\/p>\n
