HEBRON: A young Palestinian man was killed by Israeli occupation forces on Saturday morning in Khirbet Salama, west of Dura, southwest of Hebron.<\/p>\n
Security and local sources said that Israeli forces shot and killed 25-year-old Mohammed Ahmad Abu Ghaliyeh Al-Suwaiti in Khirbet Salama, claiming he was attempting to approach the settlement of Negohot, built on Palestinian land and property southwest of Hebron. He died at the scene.<\/p>\n
Sources said he was pronounced dead at the scene, and Israeli forces withheld his body following the shooting.<\/p>\n
Khirbet Salama is located west of Dura in the Hebron Governorate in the southern West Bank.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It is one of the villages occupied by Israel during the 1967 war.<\/p>\n
Also on Saturday, Israeli forces detained a Palestinian youth from the village of Beit Dajan, east of Nablus.<\/p>\n
Palestinian security sources said that Israeli forces detained Khader Ibrahim Abu Salameh after severely beating him at the entrance to the village before taking him into custody.<\/p>\n
