Former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg had his yellow card set on fire during the seventh Sidemen Charity Match by a YouTube star\"Fosh<\/p>\n

Ex-Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg<\/a> couldn’t believe his eyes as his yellow card was set on fire by YouTuber Max Fosh in the Sidemen Charity Match. The pair do have history.<\/p>\n

The seventh annual Charity match hosted by trailblazing YouTube<\/a> group the Sidemen raised over \u00a36.2million for two chosen charities as 90,000 fans packed into Wembley Stadium<\/a>. Supporters got value for money where goals were concerned, as the match itself finished 10-10<\/a> before KSI’s YouTube Allstars prevailed 4-1 in a penalty shootout.<\/p>\n

But less than a minute into the second half, referee Clattenburg, who has taken charge of the match since 2022<\/a>, was amazed to see Fosh burn his yellow card as he attempted to book the 31-year-old.<\/p>\n

Fosh, famous for uploading online stunts and social experiments, including running for London mayor in 2021, first clashed with Clattenburg in 2023, when he was booked by the official and held up an Uno reverse card.<\/p>\n

A year later, Fosh went into the book again but when Clattenburg produced the card this time around, he pulled out a miniature shredder and destroyed the card.<\/p>\n

Fosh went one step further this time around. He appeared to purposely pick up a booking seconds after the break when dragging down an opponent and was destined to have his name taken by Clattenburg.<\/p>\n

But as the referee raised his card, Fosh took it off him and after a few seconds it caught alight and disappeared. Clattenburg couldn’t believe what he was seeing and put his hands to his face.<\/p>\n

This bit of trickery was overlooked and Fosh got away without any further punishment. He played the role of hero in the shootout too, and converted from 12 yards.<\/p>\n

“I had six days. Had to come up with something. It worked about 50 per cent of the time when I practised it at home,” Fosh said later on in the broadcast.<\/p>\n

Teams were allowed to challenge decisions made by Clattenburg this year and a moment of contention arose in the 27th minute, when TBJZL was penalised for a foul in the area. But it seemed he was fouled by JasonTheWeen before committing his own offence, and Clattenburg went to the big screen.<\/p>\n

To the amazement of all those on the pitch, the penalty stood and SDMN FC goalkeeper XQC eventually saved it. This came before he gave the ball straight to Miniminter, who fired a shot between the shot-stopper’s legs.<\/p>\n

Miniminter, real name Simon Minter, bagged a hat-trick in the game, bringing his total to 14 goals in these charity matches, the current record.<\/p>\n
